About Brian

     My Professional career in the Marketing and Advertising field has always been and always will be with a client focused, problem solving approach. From the time I started in this industry at the Ferris State Torch to my current position I will always work by these principals.

     I grew up here in Lansing and attended Okemos High School where I graduated from and went on to Ferris State University and graduated with a B.S. in Marketing and Sales. During my time at Ferris I contributed to many different projects such as Habitat for Humanity (Volunteer), The Ferris State Torch (School Newspaper), The Ferris State Homecoming Committee (Concert Chair), and The Delta Chi Fraternity (President, Secretary and Community Service Chairman). During my elected Presidency of the Fraternity, we joined forces with the Student Activities Fund where we brought an Annual Concert series to the campus called January Jams. Some of the shows consisted of The Verve Pipe – Jimmie's Chicken Shack and Nine Days, our second show was Sister Hazel and SR71 and the third show was Nickleback. This concert series is still going on today.

     My first job out of college was with a business to business publication in Grand Rapids called Business Update Publications. After Business Update I was hired away by the Lansing State Journal to start their Business Publication – Business Weekly. After starting the Business Weekly sales effort, Gannett moved me into a Sales Territory where I maintained and grew 64 active accounts billing an average of $60,000 a month.

     After The Lansing State Journal, I found my new home at Citadel Broadcasting working with six stations (WJIM-AM, WJIM-FM, WITL, WMMQ, WFMK, and WVFN) and the Michigan Talk Network and just recently WJR out of Detroit. The Broadcast industry is a very fast paced and competitive industry, but an industry where the more involved you get the more fun it becomes.
